Tiffany Stratton has recalled her transition from gymnastics to pro-wrestling, explaining why she believes she found the move to WWE easier than a lot of other people.
The WWE Women’s US Champion is often touted as a WWE success story, as while she started training with Ken Anderson (Mr Kennedy/Anderson), she made her pro-wrestling debut after signing with WWE in 2021.
Having held numerous championships in WWE across NXT and SmackDown, Stratton has commented on her gymnastics background, and the benefits she believes it gave her in the ring.
During an interview with KARE 11 News, Stratton was asked how she found the transition from gymnastics and crossfit, to pro-wrestling.
Naming other gymnasts-turned-wrestlers, Tiffany Stratton responded:
“I would say that it was a lot easier for me than other people, just because gymnastics gives you such a good foundation. For pro-wrestling you have to be able to move, to flip, to have good body awareness, to roll.
“I just feel like gymnastics has always given me that leg up. If you’ve noticed, we have so many former gymnasts, now pro-wrestlers.
“We have people like Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, so I just feel like gymnastics has really just set me up for success.
“I’ve always said this, I will put my child in gymnastics no matter what I want them to become in life because I just feel like it gives you such good coordination. It just sets you up for so many different things.”

Tiffany Stratton’s Women’s US Championship reign started on the April 24 SmackDown episode, with the now-champion defeating Giulia to win the gold.
Since then, Stratton has defended the title on TV against Kiana James, Lash Legend, and most recently, Jade Cargill at Night of Champions on June 27.
With WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley recently sharing an injury update, there has been a lot of speculation about the Nightmare potentially relinquishing the gold.
If the WWE Women’s Title is ultimately vacated, Stratton is one of the bigger names on the SmackDown roster who we could see compete to become the next champion.
