AEW Star Leaves, Joins WWE
AEW/WWE
An AEW star is officially gone from the company and is making his way back to WWE after a departure a number of years ago.
There have been a number of expected signings and returns to WWE in recent weeks, with Baron Corbin one of those this past Friday on SmackDown, and another one now confirmed as well.
During tonight’s July 13 episode of Monday Night Raw, a video aired hyping up the return of Big Cass.
Big Cass was with WWE from 2011 to 2018, most notably in a tag team with Enzo Amore.
He joined AEW in 2022 under the name W Morrissey and then Big Bill, and became AEW World Tag Team Champion with Ricky Saints (Ricky Starks) from October 2023 to February 2024, as well as being a member of Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction.
The video that aired tonight ended by showing the date 8/3, which would be August 3, likely meaning he’ll be back on the WWE Raw after SummerSlam.
While Cass has been widely expected to return alongside previous NXT and WWE tag team partner Enzo Amore, the video that aired today only focused on Cass and didn’t confirm a return for Amore.
It’s possible there are more videos to come before we get to August 3 that’ll end up confirming Amore as well, but we’ll keep you posted with any updates on that.
