Emma Raducanu set to make return to tennis after three-month absence as next tournament confirmed
Emma Raducanu has not featured on the WTA Tour since June.
Raducanu’s last tournament appearance came at the Queen’s Club Championships, where she lost in the final to Donna Vekic.
Raducanu has been absent from the Tour since suffering a stress fracture in her right leg towards the end of June.

Emma Raducanu is scheduled to play the China Open
On Wednesday morning, the China Open announced their entry list for the 2026 event.
Emma Raducanu is included on the list, meaning her three-month absence from the Tour could end later this month when the tournament begins on September 28.
Raducanu reached the third round of last year’s China Open. The 2021 US Open champion defeated Cristina Bucsa before losing to Jessica Pegula.
Alongside Raducanu, another 10 Grand Slam singles champions are included on the 2026 entry list, including Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Elena Rybakina.

Amanda Anisimova, the defending champion, is also set to compete at the 2026 event.
Anisimova defeated Linda Noskova in last year’s final, 6-0, 2-6, 6-2.
Emma Raducanu’s China Open heartbreak
Raducanu came ever so close to upsetting Jessica Pegula in the third round of 2025 China Open.
The British star was unable to convert any of her three match-point opportunities, and she eventually lost 3-6, 7-6, 6-0 in Beijing.

“That was a crazy match,” Pegula said afterwards.
“It was a lot of fun. The tie-break was intense, but I got myself back in and kept the pressure on.
“When she [Raducanu] hit the double fault, I knew I was still playing some good tennis, and it was right there. I got a little lucky with my two backhand winners.
“Other than that I tried to keep fighting for as long as I could. The crowd was awesome, this court has been good to me and I’m excited to play here.
“I’m happy I got through tonight and I’ll try to rest and recover.”
Pegula went on to reach the semi-finals, where she lost to Linda Noskova in three sets.
