2026/27 Real Madrid schedule – Every confirmed & potential fixture

The 2026/27 season is well underway, with Jose Mourinho back in charge of Real Madrid and another busy campaign ahead for Los Blancos as they compete for silverware at home and in Europe. Below, you’ll find the expected Real Madrid calendar from October 2026 onwards.

There may be slight changes to this, and anyone hoping to buy Bernabeu tickets should be aware that weekend league fixtures without confirmed dates and times can in theory be moved to any point between Friday and Monday nights. However, Real Madrid are usually scheduled to play in La Liga on either a Saturday or a Sunday, and almost without exception in Champions League weeks.

2026/27 Real Madrid schedule – Month by month

October 2026 – Clasico follows a Champions League double-header

Real Madrid return from the long autumn international break with five matches in the space of little more than two weeks. Villarreal and Sevilla are the visitors to the Bernabeu in La Liga, while there are Champions League dates against Roma and RB Leipzig.

The month concludes with the first Clasico of the 2026/27 season. Mourinho takes his team to Camp Nou on Sunday October 25th, as the Real Madrid boss renews his rivalry with Barcelona, which was an incredibly tense and controversial one during his first spell.

November 2026 – Favourable fixtures either side of the international break

November sees the second international break of the season, with this one a more conventional two-week break. There will be only one more break after this one, with club football dominating the rest of the 2026/27 Spanish football calendar.

For Los Blancos, there are lots of winnable matches this month. Mourinho will be targeting maximum points from Champions League clashes with AEK Athens and PSV. It’ll be a similar story in the league, although Real Madrid were beaten at home by Celta Vigo towards the end of last year. That result marked the beginning of the end of Xabi Alonso.

December 2026 – A return to the Emirates and the Copa begins

December will be a more challenging month, particularly the first two games. Real Madrid’s final Champions League match of 2026 takes them back to North London, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the quarter-finals two seasons ago. That comes just a few days after another difficult away fixture at San Mames against Athletic Club.

Mourinho’s side should also enter the Copa del Rey in December. As one of the four Supercopa participants, they receive a bye through the opening rounds and will enter at the third-round stage in the final midweek before the Christmas break.

The calendar year concludes with a trip to Riazor to face newly-promoted Deportivo La Coruña, who are going well back in the top flight after an eight-year absence.

January 2027 – Champions League opening phase reaches its conclusion

January has the potential to be one of the busiest months on the Real Madrid schedule, with as many as nine matches should they progress in the Copa del Rey.

Unlike in recent seasons, there is no Spanish Supercopa in January, with that competition moved into February. That creates room for the Copa del Rey to progress rapidly during the opening fortnight of the year.

The Champions League league phase also concludes this month. Real host Austrian side LASK on January 19th before facing Shakhtar eight days later. A top-eight finish would secure direct passage to the round of 16 and ensure they avoid the additional play-off ties in February.

There are also five league fixtures pencilled in for January, including a trip to Malaga and home games against Levante and Real Betis.

February 2027 – Supercopa trip to Istanbul

The Spanish Supercopa will this year take place in Istanbul between February 2nd and 7th. Real Madrid have been drawn against Copa del Rey winners Real Sociedad in the semi-finals. Barcelona face Atletico Madrid in the other tie, raising the possibility of another Clasico final should Spain’s “big two” both progress.

February could become extremely congested if Real Madrid are still alive in the Copa del Rey and fail to finish in the Champions League top eight. In that scenario, they could have two European play-off matches and the first leg of a Copa semi-final to fit around their league and Supercopa commitments.

Real Madrid’s away clash with Real Sociedad in La Liga is also provisionally scheduled for this month, but that fixture will certainly move to another date, due to the Supercopa.

March 2027 – Champions League knockout football

March will see the Champions League knockout stage proper get underway, and Real Madrid will certainly expect to be involved. Should they finish in the top eight during the league phase or win a play-off in February, Mourinho’s team will be involved in the round of 16. The first legs take place on March 9th/10th with the return fixtures one week later.

There could also be a Copa del Rey semi-final second leg at the beginning of March, while the league schedule features tricky trips to Villarreal and Celta Vigo either side of a home game against Espanyol.

An international fortnight then provides a pause before the decisive final two months of the domestic season.

April 2027 – Madrid derby and a key cup month?

April could be huge for Real Madrid across three competitions. The month starts with the second Madrid derby of the La Liga season as Atletico visit the Bernabeu. That could be followed only a few days later by the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final.

There is little respite after that, with four league fixtures scheduled during April. The midweek meeting with Elche is followed by the Copa del Rey final in Seville on Saturday April 24th, should Mourinho’s side make it that far.

The first legs of the Champions League semi-finals then take place in the final midweek of April, meaning Real Madrid could play anywhere between four and eight matches across the month, depending on their cup progress.

May 2027 – Clasico in Madrid as the title race reaches its climax

As always, May is the business end of the season and Real Madrid will be hoping to still be fighting for the two biggest prizes.

A potential Champions League semi-final second leg falls immediately before the second Clasico of the campaign. Barcelona visit the Santiago Bernabeu on the weekend of May 8th/9th on matchday 35, meaning the game could have a major say in the title race.

There are then only three league fixtures remaining. Real Madrid host Racing Santander, travel to Vitoria to face Alaves and conclude their La Liga campaign at home against Depor on the weekend of May 29th/30th.

That will bring the domestic league season to a close, but there could still be one huge fixture remaining.

June 2027 – A Champions League final in Madrid?

The ultimate target for Real Madrid will be to extend their extraordinary record of 15 European Cup wins, by reaching and winning another final on Saturday June 5th.

There would be an added twist should they make it this season. The final takes place in the Spanish capital at Atletico Madrid’s Estadio Metropolitano, which previously staged Liverpool’s victory over Tottenham in the 2019 final.

A victory across the city at the home of their biggest local rivals would make a 16th title particularly memorable. It would also secure Mourinho’s legacy as one of the great coaches of the modern era.

Real Madrid calendar – How to catch Los Blancos in action

The exact Real Madrid schedule will become clearer as La Liga releases more information about kick-off times, and as the team makes progress in the various cup competitions. Check the official La Liga website for updates. Confirmed league kick-off dates and times are usually released around three to four weeks in advance, although it does vary.

Anyone hoping to travel to Madrid from abroad for a La Liga fixture has two main options. The safest option may be to wait for the confirmed kick-off time and then plan your trip around it.

Alternatively, you can book flights and accommodation in advance, but ensure your stay will cover every potential timeslot that Real Madrid could be scheduled to play in. That runs from 21:00 on Friday to 21:00 on Monday on a typical La Liga weekend. However, there are always at least two free days between games. That means if Los Blancos are due to play a cup fixture on a Wednesday, they will definitely not play in La Liga on the Friday.

In terms of the Champions League, UEFA is quick to announce fixture dates and times once the relevant draws have been made. Assuming Los Blancos reach the knockout stage, it will be possible to project which weeks they could have home fixtures, given the way the bracket is organised. For example, should they finish in the top two in the league phase, Real Madrid will be guaranteed home second legs all the way to the semi-finals should they advance.

The safest way to buy Real Madrid tickets is via the club’s official website. However, demand can be high for bigger matches and there are times when members snap up all the seats, before they hit general sale (usually around a week in advance of the match). Hospitality tickets are more expensive, but are available earlier and are less likely to completely sell out.
