WWE star GUNTHER is the perfect villain to return to NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 to hunt down guest host Danhausen.
An on-going albeit unlikely rivalry between GUNTHER and Danhausen could find the perfect place to explode – NXT.
Hosting NXT Halloween Havoc 2026
With Danhausen announced as the special guest host of the event, it would make total sense to see The Ring General continue his crusade against him on Halloween.
After surprising Danhausen on SmackDown by inadvertently waking him up from a nap in Nick Aldis’ GM chair, GUNTHER seemed amused by continuing to taunt Danhausen.
With the Very Nice, Very Evil fan favorite stating that he needed to “make it to Halloween,”, GUNTHER assured him that he would… in an ominous way that seemed like a clue.
GUNTHER vs. Danhausen at NXT Halloween Havoc 2026?
Perhaps the perfect solution to the on-going conflict between GUNTHER and Danhausen would be for The Ring General to continue to taunt the newcomer in the weeks leading up to Halloween.
Clearly able to swiftly take down Danhausen’s dreams of hosting the event, GUNTHER could keep popping up in a threatening manner only to see Danhausen make an escape on SmackDown.
Providing the perfect place for GUNTHER to strike, the Ring General could stun NXT fans by appearing at Halloween Havoc 2026 to menace Danhausen.
Perhaps leading to a proper match but more likely, some Halloween themed shenanigans- GUNTHER could have a little bit of fun under the umbrella of NXT.
Not so evil Finn Balor
Fascinatingly involved in the current rivalry has been Finn Balor, ending up an unlikely ally of Danhausen.
Particularly interesting in that Danhausen’s “evil detector” has marked Balor as Very Evil despite Finn’s protests – by the time GUNTHER gets his hands on Danhausen on Halloween, it could be Finn who makes the save.
Adding a fun element due to the beloved fan favorite status of Finn Balor in NXT already, having a main roster crossover for NXT Halloween Havoc is perfect.
Career Killer vs. Balor?
One interesting twist could be to see Finn Balor go on to battle GUNTHER with the latter’s reputation of retiring WWE stars looming throughout.
After serving as the final opponents for Goldberg, AJ Styles and John Cena – GUNTHER’s feuds feel consequential to the veterans on the roster.
In April 2024 it was reported that Balor signed a new five-year extension with the company, putting his obligation into 2029 with WWE.
While GUNTHER doesn’t seem poised to take down Finn Balor’s career without some changes to the reports on contracting, it doesn’t mean that the storyline couldn’t lean into the possibility.
