The University of Michigan men have a strong start to their recruiting class for fall 2028 with six ranked recruits and three of those being in the top 20. The team began its 4th season under head coach Matt Bowe this fall.
The Michigan boys class of 2028 already includes:
The strong class is a good sign for the Wolverines which has seen numerous international commitments fall through in recent years including Alexey Glivinskiy flip his commitment from Michigan to Texas and Nathan Muratory flip his commitment from Michigan to Arizona State.
The Michigan men finished 2nd at the 2026 Big Ten Championships behind Indiana and went on to finish 8th at the 2026 NCAA Championships with 220 points. The team lost its top scorer at NCAAs Luka Mladenovic who transferred to Texas and graduated its 2nd highest scorer Tyler Ray. Ray now trains at Texas as well as a pro.
Although not at the level of the Cal men’s class of 2028, Michigan’s class is already shaping up to be one of the top ranked in the class and a strong turnaround from previous flipped commitments. The women’s side has also had success so far, highlighted by three Best of the Rest ranked commitments.
