The 946 have made an impact on WWE Raw with their feud against The Bloodline, and Royce Keys has given insight into the faction itself.

The August 24 episode of WWE Raw saw Royce Keys return, bringing with him Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, with Jacob Fatu and The Usos in their shared sights.

Mere weeks later, the faction would be officially called The 946, with Jaida Parker and Carmelo Hayes now members of the collective.

When it comes to The 946, Royce Keys recently discussed their makeup and what is potentially to come:

Bringing something different

Now five members strong, Royce Keys reflected on the faction that has formed and what they all bring to the game during an interview with Bleacher Report, saying:

“We each bring something different. Melo’s a little pit bull. When I take that leash off him, it’s dangerous. And Jaida, she hits harder than some of the dudes.

“I always say it’s like a pot of gumbo. You’ve got all these different flavors and mixtures in it, so it’s gonna be hard for our opponents to adapt to it.”

That approach paid off on the October 12 episode of WWE Raw, with The 946 vs. The Bloodline going to no contest in a match that saw the return (and heel turn) of Carmelo Hayes, wielding a crowbar and taking it to Solo Sikoa.

Prime position

There should be little argument that The 946 are being prominently positioned on WWE Raw with the storyline against The Bloodline.

On a show that features The Judgment Day and The Vision, the recently introduced faction has been placed in a prime spot on Monday nights, something Keys recognized, saying:

“Those are prime-time spots. So, for us to be in those spots consistently, week after week, it means something. It’s not by mistake.”

Roman Reigns may be on a part-time schedule, but there’s every possibility that he has a degree of creative control when it comes to the direction of The Bloodline, with The 946 story clearly paying off for all involved.

Nobody is safe…

Both sides have made it clear that “nobody is safe”, but whether that security will be tested at Survivor Series: WarGames is something that Keys wouldn’t be drawn upon, simply stating:

“It’s something we would love to be a part of. If we are in it, just expect the unexpected, and just take what we’ve done now and multiply it by a hundred.”

The steel structure would be an ideal opportunity to have The Bloodline and The 946 cross paths, although Keys is seemingly looking beyond the titular match at the November 28 PLE, stating:

“I’m after the grand prize. Nobody’s safe.”

There’s little doubt that Roman Reigns vs. Royce Keys will happen one day and it could very well main event any WWE PLE, particularly with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Retiring Roman Reigns

In comments made earlier this year, Roman Reigns addressed his retirement, saying:

“There’s still a little more juice to squeeze. Almost there, but not quite.”

With this in mind, the idea that Royce Keys could be the one to retire Roman Reigns, taking the World Heavyweight Championship as a double blow, must have crossed the mind of WWE creative.

Sending Reigns, a storied champion who has been riding high for much of this decade, into the sunset at the hands of a star who could be the future of WWE is an opportunity that is sitting right there.

The feud between The Bloodline and The 946 shows no signs of slowing down, or becoming less intense, and could very well take fans to WrestleMania 43 in April next year and beyond. For Keys, this story could do for him what The Bloodline did for Reigns.
