The rosters of WWE Raw, NXT and SmackDown all have a variety of stars currently off TV for a number of reasons.

Some are gone for storyline reasons, others are injury-related, and a few are a total mystery, but as much as it sucks to see a star on the sidelines sometimes time away can open up the door for a fresh start upon their return.

Here are four WWE stars who could potentially be repackaged upon their WWE return:

Tavion Heights

Tavion Heights has been absent from NXT TV for almost a month now after being betrayed by former tag team partner Myles Borne TWICE in three weeks.

The second betrayal on September 15 saw Borne place Heights’ ankle in a steel chair and stomp down, an attack that has kept Heights out in the weeks that have followed.

With Myles Borne set to take on Tony D’Angelo in a NXT Championship number one contenders match on this week’s NXT, we could see Heights make a dramatic return to cost his former tag partner his big win, and in doing so, Heights could return as a new version of himself – whether that means a change of look or just a more aggressive approach.

Being betrayed by your best friend twice should have some lasting damage, and this would be a great opportunity to give Heights a reboot.

Josh Briggs

Josh Briggs hasn’t been seen on WWE NXT since all the way back in April, where he was beaten by Keanu Carver in a three-way that also featured Jasper Troy.

Briggs did recently make a return to action during a September 21 taping of WWE Main Event, where he lost to Big Cass, but we’ve yet to see this lead to any return on his home brand of NXT.

The 33-year-old has been in NXT for five years and is certainly in need of a refresh if he’s going to make it onto the main roster one day.

This is one of the few cases where a full repackaging may be the best route forward, with Briggs receiving a new name and distinct character far different than the one he’s been playing.

Jordynne Grace

Like Josh Briggs in NXT, we haven’t seen Jordynne Grace compete on her designated brand of SmackDown since April.

ā€œThe Juggernautā€ did continue to wrestle on Main Event in the months that followed her last SmackDown appearance, but even on that show she hasn’t been seen since June.

There have reportedly been internal pitches for a new team of Grace and Ivy Nile; a pairing that would certainly make sense on paper given their impressive athleticism and power.

Whether it is in this team along with Nile, or on her own, Grace could certainly use a fresh start with a new attitude and character.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is obviously too established a main event name to repackage, but we have seen ā€œThe Visionaryā€ make changes to his presentation over his 14 years on the WWE main roster.

The most recent era of Rollins gave him an almost John Wick-esque aesthetic, with his all black attire being a far cry from the flamboyant outfits we had become used to.

While he did return to his colorful look during his most recent match at SummerSlam, we could see Rollins once again reinvent his look when he makes his return this time around.
