AEW
AEW WrestleDream is now officially in the books, with a number of big moments and matches taking place on the show.
Coming out of the show, there are a lot of new directions we will likely see the company go in as we head towards Full Gear and the start of the Continental Classic.
With next week’s AEW Dynamite the first following WrestleDream, here are some changes we could see made to the show.
The debut of Ilja Dragunov

Perhaps the most talked about moment from last night’s pay-per-view was the arrival of former United States Champion Ilja Dragunov to All Elite Wrestling.
After departing WWE back in August at the end of his contract, Ilja had been a free agent for a number of weeks as speculation ramped up about his future, before AEW would tease his arrival on this week’s Dynamite show.
With Ilja now in the fold, and him wasting no time getting into the ring, with his debut match set for this Wednesday on Dynamite, the Mad Dragon will likely take over AEW television in the coming weeks.
The Road to Blood & Guts begins

AEW’s annual Blood & Guts event is just around the corner, with the event slated to take place on November 4.
Will Ospreay had recently been forming his new United Empire faction on AEW television, which seemed like it would have been the likely direction for this year’s Blood and Guts match, potentially against the Death Riders to completely wrap up the story between the two.
However, following the passing of PAC, it seems that the plans that were in place for the Death Riders prior to All Out have now, obviously, been put on hold, so there really isn’t an obvious Blood & Guts match right now.
Expect that to change over the next two weeks, as the teams for the match will become more clear.
New Japan Pro Wrestling crossover?

Recently, AEW has once again been making the most out of it’s partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling, with Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, MJF and Jon Moxley all building to upcoming matches in the promotion.
With the AEW stars already making appearances in New Japan, it would only make sense for New Japan’s stars to follow suit, with names like Yota Tsuji, Ryohei Oiwa and Shingo Takagi appearing on AEW television to get their revenge.
Wrestle Kingdom is just over two months away, so the build to the big matches should be starting around now.
