Andrade El Idolo is on the quest to become the greatest AEW National Champion of all time.
Over the course of his reign, El Idolo has already held the gold for three months and has eight successful defenses.
Coming off the heels of his latest win over Tommaso Ciampa at AEW WrestleDream, fans could see any number of stars step up next to get an opportunity at El Idolo for the National Title.
Here are four potential next AEW National Championship challengers for Andrade El Idolo.
Myron Reed
Myron Reed has gotten a ton of momentum in singles competition over the past few months.
Whether it be against Kazuchika Okada or Darby Allin, Reed has continued to be showcased as a potential breakout star.
The Rascalz member feels on the cusp of bigger and better opportunities in the coming weeks and months.
Reed getting a shot at Andrade El Idolo’s AEW National Championship would offer a potential showstealing bout and another chance for “The Young GOAT” to get the spotlight.
Wardlow
Wardlow made his return to All Elite Wrestling on the September 30 Tribute To PAC edition of AEW Dynamite.
The former three-time TNT Champion is someone who has come back and looking to be on a mission.
After leaving the Don Callis Family, Andrade El Idolo defeated Mark Davis to win the AEW National Championship at Redemption 2026.
This could lead to Wardlow representing the DCF by trying to bring the National Title back to his faction in the near future.
Austin Creed
At AEW All In London 2026, The New Level made their debut and teamed with Swerve Strickland to win the AEW World Trios Championships.
Since then, Kofi has tried his hand in singles competition and challenged Bandido for the ROH World Title at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam France.
Many fans are wondering when Austin Creed will get his opportunity at singles action for himself.
After both men claimed they wanted all the gold, Creed could step up for one of Andrade El Idolo’s AEW National Championship open challenges in the weeks to come.
Ilja Dragunov
At AEW WrestleDream 2026, Ilja Dragunov made his debut to All Elite Wrestling as the newest signee.
Then on the October 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, Dragunov made his in-ring debut with a win over Speedball Mike Bailey.
After defeating one member of the United Empire, “The Mad Dragon” might face another for his first title in AEW.
Dragunov facing off with Andrade El Idolo has all the makings of an instant classic that could further elevate the AEW National Championship in a major way.
