For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Versatile swimmer Robbie Doolittle from Granite Bay, Calif., has announced his commitment to compete for Army West Point beginning in the fall of 2027. Showing particular strength in the IM and middle-distance events, Doolittle currently trains and competes with Granite Bay High School and the Sierra Marlins Swim Team.

“I am extremely blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the United States Military Academy, West Point! First, I give all the glory to God for His guidance and the many blessings in my life. I am so thankful for my parents and brothers for their unwavering support and love! I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. I also want to give a special thanks to all of my coaches, especially Coach Tim and Coach Kyle, for shaping me not only in the pool, but as a person, and for guiding me through this journey. Finally thank you to Coach Ryan and the entire West Point coaching staff for giving me this opportunity! GO ARMY! 🇺🇸 BEAT NAVY!🗡️”

Doolittle was a finalist at the 2026 CIF State Championship (SCY) in May, placing 9th in the 200 IM (1:51.08) after recording a lifetime best of 1:49.79 in prelims. He also helped Granite Bay finish 8th in the 400 free relay, anchoring in 46.32, and 11th in the 200 free relay, splitting 21.44.

Doolittle qualified for the finals of the 400 IM at the 2025 Speedo Winter Junior Championship—West (SCY) with a time of 3:53.23. He finished 8th in the final (3:54.94). His prelim time remains his fastest performance in the event.

The previous year at the same championship, Doolittle posted his fastest 500 free time of 4:31.12. He also competed in the 200 back (1:50.38) and qualified for the 400 IM final, where he placed 22nd with a time of 3:57.31.

At the 2025 Speedo Sectionals (SCY) in Oceanside in February, Doolittle placed 3rd in the 400 IM (3:54.59), 5th in the 200 back (1:50.08), 6th in the 500 free (4:33.37), 7th in the 1650 free (15:49.47), 12th in the 100 back (51.80), and 25th in the 200 free (1:41.45). His performances in the 400 IM, 200 back, 100 back, and 200 free were all personal bests at the time.

Doolittle was the runner-up in the 400 IM (4:28.92) at the 2025 Futures Championship (LCM) in Sacramento in July. He also placed 7th in the 200 back (2:09.04) and 25th in the 400 free (4:07.62).
