Carlos Alcaraz’s record at the US Open as he confirms his participation at this year’s tournament
Carlos Alcaraz will be making his sixth appearance at the US Open this year.
Alcaraz withdrew from Wimbledon and Roland Garros this year after suffering a right wrist injury which has kept him out of action since April.
There were doubts over whether he would play again this year, but Alcaraz has now confirmed his participation at the US Open.
Alcaraz is the defending US Open champion, with there now just over a week until he returns to New York.

Alcaraz has an 88.9% win-loss record at the US Open, making it his best Grand Slam tournament alongside Wimbledon.
In his five previous appearances at the New York major, Alcaraz has twice ended up as the champion.
This includes both last year and in 2022, when Alcaraz won his first Grand Slam title at the US Open.

The most surprising of the three defeats came in 2024, when Alcaraz was stunned by Botic van de Zandschulp in the second round.

How far do you think Carlos Alcaraz will go at the US Open after four months out injured? 🤕
Alcaraz will have the opportunity to change that this year, with his biggest rival Jannik Sinner officially withdrawing from the US Open due to a knee issue.
Not only can Alcaraz become the first player to defend the men’s singles title at the US Open in 18 years, he could also make more tennis history.
Alcaraz has already won seven Grand Slam titles at just 23 years old, and he could now join the likes of Andre Agassi, Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl on eight majors if he triumphs at the US Open.
