A former WWE Women’s Champion has confirmed that she is retired, addressing speculation about her potentially wrestling again.
Despite recent appearances, both physical and virtual, Lisa Marie Varon has confirmed that her wrestling career is over.
Varon – who wrestled as Victoria in WWE and Tara in TNA Wrestling – addressed speculation about her in-ring future on a WhatNot livestream, during which she explicitly stated that she is retired, but will continue to make appearances.
She stated:
“No, I retired. My body hurts, you guys. I still do appearances, and WhatNot is my new favorite thing.”

Lisa Marie Varon last wrestled in 2023, teaming with Gisele Shaw to unsuccessfully challenge for Jessicka and Taya Valkyrie’s TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
Her last in-ring outing for WWE saw her compete in the 2021 Royal Rumble match. She lasted just over seven minutes in this match after entering in the number 10 spot, before being eliminated by Shayna Baszler.
Varon still has ties to both companies, with WWE inviting her to attend Survivor Series 2025, and including her on the roster for the WWE 2K26 video game.
The former “Tara” notably appeared at TNA Bound For Glory 2025 to induct Mickie James into the company’s Hall of Fame.
Having held the WWE Women’s Championship and TNA Knockouts Championship on multiple occasions apiece, Lisa Marie Varon can be considered one of the pioneers of the current women’s wrestling landscape.
