Former WWE Star Teases Reunion Following Tag Team Partner’s Return To The Company
WWE
A former WWE star has teased the possibility of a comeback after last night’s episode of Raw saw a video hyping the return of an AEW name.
The July 13 episode of WWE Raw saw a video air that hyped the return of Big Cass, with a date suggesting a post-SummerSlam appearance.
Known to AEW fans as Big Bill, the former World Tag Team Champion signed with the company in 2022, initially appearing as W Morrissey before transitioning to Big Bill.
Having been released from his WWE contract back in 2018, Big Cass is probably best remembered as one-half of a tag team with Enzo Amore.
While Cass may be on his way back, Enzo’s future remains unconfirmed, although the star shared a tease on his personal Instagram account featuring a clip of the former WWE star looking emotional and a cropped shot of the pair with the NXT Tag Team of the Year award from 2015.
Amore also departed WWE in 2018 and would go on an independent wrestling run as nZo and Real1, including competing in MLW.

“You Can’t Teach That”
During their time in WWE, Enzo and Cass were a popular pairing, seeing their work over in NXT continue after they were called up to the main roster in 2016.
Part of that popularity likely had a lot to do with the charismatic powerhouse that was Enzo, while Cass was able to deliver on the showstopping presence that one would expect from a 6 ft 10 in star.
Despite their combined upside, it’s curious that a WWE Tag Team Championship run would elude them, with Amore being the only one of the pairing to have a title run of any description, being a two-time Cruiserweight Champion. For Cass, his future would fare better in AEW, being a former World Tag Team Champion alongside the star now known as Ricky Saints.
Being a co-founder of 4th Rope Wrestling, Enzo is the current Flyweight Champion, with the promotion’s Heavyweight Championship held by Zilla Fatu, a star who has been the subject of WWE interest reports recently.
Reuniting Enzo and Cass in the current tag team picture is an interesting move for WWE, with both being veteran stars in their own right and still both able to put in solid performances.
With Cass seemingly confirmed for a post-SummerSlam return, at the time of writing, a World Tag Team Championship match is yet to be announced for The Vision.
