AEW WrestleDream 2026 was headlined by the first ever Clockwork Carnage Match.
With the AEW World Title on the line, eight of the best wrestlers the company has to offer put on a show in this high stakes bout.
While Will Ospreay retained the gold, there were several title matches that were set up or teased during the course of this first time ever stipulation.
Here are four new AEW title matches set up in the Clockwork Carnage Match.
AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Samoa Joe
Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe clashed for the first time one-on-one in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinals at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026.
This bout saw Ospreay pick up a victory to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
However, Joe got a measure of revenge when he made Ospreay tap out in the Clockwork Carnage at WrestleDream 2026.
Following this submission win, Joe should be next in line to challenge Ospreay for the AEW World Championship before long.
AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Ricochet

Will Ospreay was not the only champion who competed in the Clockwork Carnage.
TNT Champion Darby Allin competed and entered the bout at the number five spot.
While Samoa Joe did the work and pinned Darby to kick off the scoring phase in Clockwork Carnage, it was Ricochet who took advantage and scored his one fall in the match.
Using this pinfall to his benefit, Ricochet could find himself challenging Allin for the TNT Championship coming out of AEW WrestleDream 2026.
AEW International Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship.
However, Kyle Fletcher overcame his former friend Takeshita to win the title for himself at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break 2026.
Then, Okada regained the International Title in a three-way match against both Fletcher and Takeshita at All In London 2026.
To add insult to injury, the next time they were in the ring together saw Okada eliminating Takeshita from the Clockwork Carnage at WrestleDream. This should set the stage for a third singles meeting between Okada and Takeshita for the gold soon.
AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Adam Copeland

The Clockwork Carnage ended with a race to get the win between Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland.
Following a Spear on Kazuchika Okada, it looked like Cope was about to get one last world title reign before the end of his career in 2027.
However, Ospreay swooped in with the Hidden Blade to pin Copeland and take the victory in Clockwork Carnage to retain the AEW World Title.
In a digital exclusive, Ospreay told Cope to save a date for him on his retirement tour, so it feels like fans can expect a showdown between these two popular stars over the AEW World Championship down the line.
