Cruz Montana made his WWE main roster debut on the November 2 Raw episode, officially joining Royce Keys’ 946 faction.

During this appearance, Montana attacked Roman Reigns with a mask on, before revealing himself as the newest member of Keys, Lucien Price, Bronco Nima and Jaida Parker’s group.

While Montana will likely be occupied with the Bloodline vs 946 feud for some time, there are a number of Raw and SmackDown stars who it would make sense to see him cross paths with in the future, following bouts in other companies.

Here are three main roster stars who Cruz Montana faced in other promotions, who he could have rematches against on WWE TV.

Penta

Cruz Montana and Penta have shared the ring in 25 matches since July 2017, across a variety of promotions including AEW, House of Glory, AAA and TNA.

Most of these bouts were tag matches between the Lucha Brothers and Montana (fka Mike Santana) & Ortiz, with the two teams having had matches for tag-team gold in PWG, TNA, AAW, HOG, AAA and PWR over the years.

Their most recent encounter was in a one-on-one match, with Montana defending the HOG Heavyweight Championship against the current Money in the Bank briefcase holder at the March 2, 2024 Reckoning event.

With Penta and Montana both being on the Raw brand, this rematch feels like an inevitability.

Joe Hendry

Another Raw star who Montana has a lot of history with is Joe Hendry, with the duo having shared the ring as both allies and opponents.

While they have been teammates for both of their in-ring encounters on WWE TV – on the July 8 and 15, 2025 NXT episodes – their most recent appearance together was as adversaries.

After both stars unsuccessfully challenged Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary 2025, Montana defeated Hendry in singles action on the July 24, 2025 iMPACT episode.

With both wrestlers having transitioned from key components in the NXT-TNA crossover to fully-fledged Raw stars, it’d feel like a full-circle moment to have Montana and Hendry meet in the ring on a Monday night.

Trick Williams

Speaking of the NXT-TNA partnership, Trick Williams became a major rival for Cruz Montana during crossover appearances in 2025.

In his second-ever match for WWE, Cruz Montana unsuccessfully challenged for Trick Williams’ TNA World Championship on June 3, 2025, following Williams winning the gold that May.

The two stars shared the ring on a number of occasions following this, ahead of “Mike Santana” finally dethroning Williams at Bound For Glory that October.

While Williams is currently part of the SmackDown roster, it feels like it’s only a matter of time until we see Cruz Montana share the ring with the two-time US Champion once again.
