La Liga outfit Sevilla have this weekend closed a deal to add to the club’s options in the attacking third. This comes amid confirmation of an agreement being put in place for the signing of Robbie Ure.
Ure, for those not familiar with his name, is a 22-year-old Scottish attacker, who chiefly operates in a centre-forward role.
The frontman has spent the last 18 months plying his club trade in Sweden, on the books of Sirius. And his exploits over the opening half of the current Allsvenskan campaign have turned heads across Europe.
In 15 league appearances to date, Ure has averaged a goal per game, with 15 goals and two assists to his name.
On the lookout for reinforcements up top, the aforementioned Sevilla, in turn, this week ramped up efforts to bring the Scot to The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
And as alluded to above, on Sunday, these endeavours appear to have borne fruit. As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Sevilla agree deal to sign Robbie Ure as new striker from Sirius. €9.2m transfer fee agreed between clubs, contract until June 2031 after medical taking place early next week.’
