After their surprise union on the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, Saturday’s episode of Collision saw the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs address their new alliance and reveal an official name for their group: The Last Outfit.

Comments on the YouTube upload of the segment and on social media were largely negative in response to this new name, and it appears as if AEW may have acted fast in listening to the feedback and actioning a change.

In a social media exclusive promo after Collision, Jay White appeared to dub his group “The Cut” when discussing how they were going to rid AEW of Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

White said:

“I don’t think it’s too bold to say that there’s a new sheriff in town. And although these are unsettling times for some, me and my boys we are right at home in the chaos. And all of you, you think your judgments hold any significance to us?

“You are all lucky. You are all blessed with the privilege of witnessing the sickest and slickest, the quickest draws in the west. Top shelf high rollers, the golden gun slingers, some dirty dogs, your Collision cowboys.

“We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley and the Death Riders from the heart of AEW. We are The Cut.”

AEW’s Collision rundown on their official website did have the group named as The Last Outfit initially, but now they are referred to as The Cut – confirming the change has been made to the faction’s name.

The title of the YouTube upload of the clip (see below) has not yet been changed to reflect the new name at the time of writing.

The Cut name change is a testament to AEW’s reactivity and receptiveness to feedback

Judging off the reaction to The Cut on social media, fans seem to be more in favor of this new name than The Last Outfit.

With Jay White being “The Switchblade” it certainly is more fitting a name, and it certainly sounds like a more threatening group than its original name.

The change is also another example of AEW’s willingness to listen to fan feedback and make adjustments.

We saw this last year when Mina Shirakawa’s entrance theme was changed during her full-time AEW debut in May 2025 only for her to return to her old theme by the time she won the match.

Tony Khan later confirmed that this decision was due to the fan backlash regarding the theme change online, and it appears as if the AEW President may have very well did the same thing again with The Last Outfit.
