Noam Dar signed with WWE in August 2016 and has seen his fair share of action across brands, yet his work in NXT may be about to pay off.

Brought to the attention of WWE fans as part of the Global Cruiserweight Series tournament in March 2016 before it was renamed the Cruiserweight Classic, Noam Dar’s tenure in WWE would see him on Raw, in an on-screen relationship with Alicia Fox, and later as a member The Zo Train.

Injury would mar Dar’s main roster run, with the star returning in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament of 2018, leading to a run on NXT UK before heading to NXT in April 2023.

Still very much an NXT star, Dar has recently teamed with Romeo Moreno, with the pair defeating Vanity Project in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, potentially elevating the star to greater heights:

A win over the NXT Tag Team Champions matters

The title may not have been on the line, but progressing to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with a victory over the current NXT Tag Team Champions does have a certain degree of importance.

The pairing of Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno began back in May and wasn’t something that felt like it came out of nowhere, with the latter having signed with WWE in 2025, previously being known as Zozaya on the independent wrestling scene.

For Dar, the former leader of The Meta-Four made a return to NXT in May and could have functioned as a singles competitor, yet pairing him with a newer star and heading to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic sets a new trajectory that feels fresher.

Noam Dar hasn’t been showered in gold

Opportunities have been there across the past decade, yet the only title that Dar has held is the NXT Heritage Cup, a now-retired championship that he held four times.

Just 33 years of age, and with a touch over ten years as a WWE star, Dar has plenty of road ahead of him when it comes to potential championship runs. It’s not impossible to see Dar and Moreno going after the NXT Tag Team Championship in the near future, regardless of the outcome of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Championship.

A main roster reintroduction

While it’s not beyond possibility that Dar will remain an NXT star, there is always the possibility that he could be called back up the main roster.

Last seen on WWE Raw in late 2017, the landscape of the main roster has changed considerably since Dar’s time there and, while there may be familiar faces, new rivalries could potentially emerge, especially with a star able to channel a cocky attitude or charm with such ease.

Where next for Noam Dar?

Dar and Moreno face Hank & Tank in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, with that match taking place on the November 4 episode of WWE NXT.

A win would cement them as a unit and potential title contenders, with the 2024 tournament having been won by Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker, who would go on to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. A loss could either see Dar supportive of his tag team partner or choose retribution, setting up a feud against Moreno.

Dar still has untapped potential as a mainstay of the NXT roster with a focus on mentoring the stars of tomorrow, whether that be as a teammate or rival on screen.
