AEW
It should come as no surprise that AEW has a wealth of talent yet to turn 30 years old, with Dani Luna being a recent addition.
A former WWE and TNA Wrestling star, Dani Luna made her debut at AEW All Out, with the 27-year-old star answering the open challenge for Persephone’s TBS Championship.
For Luna, she joins AEW at a time when many of its top stars are under the age of 30, including the following male roster members:
Kyle Fletcher
Born in December 1998, Fletcher is just 27 years old and has held the AEW International Championship, along with being a two-time TNT Champion and a former World Trios Champion. Over in Ring of Honor, his accolades include the ROH World Tag Team Championship and World Television Championship.
On a career high in AEW, the star has previously spoken about opting to sign with Tony Khan over a deal with WWE during an interview with Chris Van Vliet. Describing how AEW was “the right fit” for himself and Mark Davis, Fletcher would reflect on the vibe in AEW and his ability to produce the wrestling that he wants to deliver.
Fletcher continues to excel in AEW and it can only be a matter of time before that top title ends up in his hands.
Gabe Kidd
At 29, Gabe Kidd forged an impressive career in NJPW before signing with AEW earlier this year.
Already an AEW World Trios Champion (alongside fellow members of The Dogs, David Finlay & Clark Connors), Kidd is also a member of Death Riders, offering even more opportunity to showcase the star with his brash attitude that matches his in-ring style.
At some point, AEW would do well to deliver Gabe Kidd vs. Will Ospreay, particularly with the animosity both stars have shown towards each other. In the meantime, there are plenty of championships that Kidd could challenge for as a singles competitor.
Jack Perry
Another star at 29 years old, Jack Perry is an AEW OG, one of the four pillars and currently on a quest to become world champion.
A former TNT Champion, National Champion, FTW Champion and World Tag Team Champion, Perry has all the tools to succeed but is yet to get over the line when it comes to the top title.
Gone is the Jungle Boy persona that won him fans during his earlier years, with the star having passed through his Scapegoat phase (post CM Punk fallout) and been reborn as “Jungle” Jack Perry, with nods both of his past gimmicks.
HOOK
The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil of AEW, HOOK made his debut in November 2020, with the star being introduced as a silent and aggressive machine.
No longer silent, HOOK has gone on to be a three-time FTW Champion and a vital component in The Opps, losing nothing of the technical prowess he brings to the ring.
27 years of age, HOOK is another star that Tony Khan clearly sees as a valuable asset for the future of AEW and it wouldn’t be surprising to see titles around his waist in the next few years.
Nick Wayne
Just 21 years of age, and there’s no stopping Nick Wayne, signing a contract back in February 2022 that wouldn’t see him debut until after he finished school in July the following year.
A former AEW World Trios Champion, Wayne has seen his talents brought to NJPW, offering an opportunity that is open to very few young talents from outside Japan.
Most recently being a singles competitor, Wayne may have recently lost to Chris Jericho on the September 16 episode of Dynamite but is likely to rise up through the ranks to one day stand in the same company as the veteran star.
It doesn’t end there for the under-30s
Also yet to turn 30 are the likes of Dante & Darius Martin, Hologram, Komander, Action Andretti, Daniel Garcia, and others currently under AEW contract.
Across the board, in a dense men’s roster, used in the right way, any of these stars could be elevated to even greater heights on television long before their thirtieth birthday.
