On the November 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, the 946 added to their ranks following the Solo Sikoa vs. Royce Keys main event.

Just when it looked like Roman Reigns and The Bloodline had control of a post match brawl, a masked man showed up to blast “The OTC” in the face with a steel chair and deliver the Spin The Block.

The masked man revealed himself to be Cruz Montana and gave the 946 the advantage to get the better of The Bloodline here, which proved Keys right that there is strength in numbers.

Here are five reasons why Cruz Montana is the perfect addition to the 946.

Debuting in his hometown of New York City

The November 2 episode of WWE Raw took place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Cruz Montana is from the Bronx, New York born and raised, having made that part of his identity as a pro wrestler.

The setting was perfect for Montana to make a statement and officially make his way to the WWE main roster.

After just 104 days on the NXT brand, Montana is on the big stage and part of the hottest faction on Monday Night Raw right now in the 946.

History with OTM

Back in New York City earlier this year, OTM‘s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price were in need of some backup against DarkState.

Price and Nima called upon New York City’s own Cruz Montana as their third man for a six-man tag team match on the March 31 edition of WWE NXT.

Montana, Price and Nima scored the victory on this night against DarkState inside of The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

This history with OTM helped to establish a connection that will be furthered with Montana now joining Price and Nima in the 946.

Spending time with Royce Keys in AEW

Before making his way back to TNA Wrestling in 2024, Cruz Montana spent five years in All Elite Wrestling.

During his time in the promotion, Montana met a wrestler by the name of Powerhouse Hobbs.

While they were never aligned with one another, Hobbs and Montana got to know each other and grow accustomed to how they operate.

Hobbs went on to become Royce Keys in WWE and has created the 946 stable, which has now brought in his former AEW colleague Cruz Montana into the fold.

Fitting the aesthetics and ethos of the 946

The 946 has established themselves under a similar look that fits their street mentality.

When looking at the WWE roster, Cruz Montana felt like someone who would mesh well with this aesthetic.

In a similar vein, the 946 has had an ethos of “Ain’t Nobody Safe” and strength being in the numbers.

With those things in mind, it made for an ideal fit to bring someone with Montana’s background and upbringing that understands what this group is all about.

Coming to the WWE main roster with a chip on his shoulder

Ever since he left AEW, Cruz Montana has been wrestling with a chip on his shoulder everywhere he has gone.

No matter the promotion, the former Mike Santana has show a determination unlike anyone in the business.

Since signing with WWE, Montana has been motivated to prove all of his naysayers wrong in every way.

Now making the jump from NXT to the main roster, Montana has a chip on his shoulder and went straight for current World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to show the world that no one will stand in his way.
