Women’s World Matchplay: Beau Greaves defeats Fallon Sherrock in 6-5 last-leg decider to claim record third Blackpool crown | Darts News
Beau Greaves won the Women’s World Matchplay for a record third time with a 6-5 last-leg victory over Fallon Sherrock at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
After Sherrock forced the contest to go all the way, Greaves came through clutch with a 180 then 145 to leave 56 for the match. She pinned that on D10 to seal victory once again.
The win adds to Greaves’ 2023 and 2024 triumphs in this tournament. It was Sherrock that Greaves met in the 2024 Women’s Matchplay final in which Greaves took the spoils in a 6-3 win.
It adds to an already impressive year for ‘Beau and Arrow’ in which she became the first woman to win a Pro Tour event at Players Championship 11. She also hit a nine-darter on the Tour and became the first woman to qualify for the European Tour.
The win for Greaves consigns Sherrock to runner-up at the Women’s Matchplay for a third year in a row, losing to Greaves in 2024 and 2026 plus Lisa Ashton in 2025.
