WWE Hall Of Famer Pitches LA Knight Championship Feud: ‘His Best Chance At Succeeding’
WWE
A former WWE name has weighed in on a possible direction for LA Knight after SummerSlam, involving a championship feud.
With Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns locked in a bitter war of words, the pair are set to face off at WWE SummerSlam on August 1 & 2 as The OTC puts the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
One star who is less than impressed with whatās going on is LA Knight, who confronted Rollins on the July 6 episode of WWE Raw to express his feelings, only to run into be attacked by Jimmy Uso.
Rollins would state that, should he beat Reigns, LA Knight can be the first person to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, a topic that would be discussed on Busted Open Radio.
The prospect of a Rollins vs. Knight feud would see Dave LeGreca comment on the popularity of the challenger, with Bully Ray going to say:
āBut, if Seth is going to win and defeat Roman and Roman is going to leave and now itās going to be LA Knight and Seth and they used last week as a planting on the seed to see how it would go, and then last night was the follow up as for crowd investment, I would not be shocked at them use Seth Rollins as your champion to get LA Knight over.
āAnd, as you just said, both of them face-to-face, I think LA Knight has the best chance of succeeding chasing Seth Rollins.ā

This weekās episode of WWE Raw saw Royce Keys defeat Jimmy Uso via DQ, with Jacob Fatu making his presence felt post-match.
With Solo Sikoa pleading with Fatu to release Keys from under a steel chair, there would be a moment of unity between the pair and Jimmy Uso.
Sadly, for Uso and Fatu, it would all be part of a ploy on Sikoaās part, attacking both men, leading to Knight turning up, chair of his own in hand, issuing a challenge for SummerSlam.

On The Cusp Of Greatness
WWE SummerSlam on August 1 & 2 will see LA Knight team with Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa to take on Jacob Fatu and The Usos.
Wherever that match appears on the two-night card, Knight continues to a key player in a top feud, although not necessarily the focus himself, having recently engaged with The Vision, competing at WrestleMania 42, and The MFTs, in a year that has seen him attempt to secure the WWE Championship number one contendership at Elimination Chamber and, more recently, falling short in the first round Fatal Four Way match in the King of the Ring tournament.
Itās seemingly a constant for LA Knight, being on the cusp of greatness, with a title opportunity so close yet staying just beyond his reach. Itās certainly not for a lack of engagement, with the star previously commenting he āhave a set trajectory at this momentā, despite remaining relatively popular with the WWE fans.
The comments would see Knight reflect on his program with The Vision and Seth Rollins and how this saw an apparent renewal of his popularity, with the star himself noting that āmaybe the reactions arenāt quite as big as they wereā, reflecting on the criticism that the reaction was somewhat ephemeral. This may be true, but the star remains popular with the fans who are eager to get behind him.
Assuming Rollins walks out of SummerSlam as a three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, seeing Knight feud with him would be a step up for a star who is a former United States Champion. It would be an opportunity to elevate Knight firmly into the world title picture, assuming it is more than just one televised match, of course.
Knight has proven that he can stand alongside a number of top stars and can garner the reaction necessary for fans to see him in that capacity. Perhaps itās time for WWE to get behind him for that monster push.
