WWE star Paige has shared her first comments following the Bella Twins attacking her following their match at SummerSlam.
Paige wrestled her first SummerSlam match since 2015 on Saturday, August 1, teaming with Nikki and Brie Bella to take on Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
Following Jayne pinning Paige to win the match for Fatal Influence, the former Divas Champion’s night went from bad to worse, with Nikki Bella then dropping her with a forearm.
Nikki and Brie Bella continued to attack Paige, before leaving her in the ring.
Paige has now taken to Twitter to comment on this betrayal. Sending a message to the Bella Twins, Paige wrote:
Oh you f**ked up.
Paige’s WWE return notably saw her replace Nikki Bella as Brie Bella’s tag-team partner in the Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way bout which took place at WrestleMania 42 in April.
With Paige and Brie Bella ultimately victorious, the duo’s reign with the Women’s Tag Team Championship lasted for 91 days, ahead of Fatal Influence winning the gold at the June 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
With Nikki and Brie attacking Paige, now the dynamic will be similar to their previous rivalries with one another, with Paige fighting the Bella Twins’ number’s game…
At least it seems that was the original plan, with Brie Bella unfortunately suffering an injury during the SummerSlam match.
During the post-show press conference, Triple H noted that the injury seemed “pretty bad”, but didn’t have a definitive update on her status.
He explained that Brie had received treatment in the arena, and had then been taken to a hospital for scans.
With Nikki Bella’s injury causing her to miss WrestleMania and Brie’s injury to potentially keep her out of action, we could be waiting a while to see the Bella Twins team together again.
With Nikki recently stating that she plans to retire at the end of 2027, the duo only have a year and some change left to realise their dream of holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship together.
