WWE
Next week will be a significant one for WWE, culminating with the Money in the Bank premium live event on October 10.
With two Money in the Bank ladder matches set to take place, the WWE title landscape could drastically change following WWE’s visit to New Orleans.
This show isn’t the only one where championships could change hands, with title matches also confirmed for WWE TV earlier in the week.
Here are five championship reigns which could be in jeopardy come Money in the Bank week.
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship
The first title which could change hands next week is the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship, which will be defended on the October 5 Raw episode.
As confirmed on the September 28 show, Rey Fenix will defend his title against Ethan Page in the SmackDown star and AAA title holder’s next visit to the red brand.
Rey Fenix has defended his AAA gold on several occasions on WWE main roster TV, most recently against Ricky Saints on the September 11 SmackDown episode.
With Ethan Page previously holding the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship, and expressing interest in returning to the Mexican brand, “All Ego” could be the star to finally dethrone Fenix.
WWE Women’s Championship
While Chelsea Green doesn’t currently have a scheduled title defense for Money in the Bank, she will be watching the October 10 premium live event very closely.
The winner of the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match will be able to cash in for a title match at a time of their choosing, so if Green is in the arena next Saturday, there is a chance that she could be dethroned.
Ahead of the final competitor being determined, Jacy Jayne and Lash Legend are currently SmackDown’s only representatives in the match, however there is a chance that one of the Raw competitors could cash in and switch brands, should they be victorious.
Of the eight women to win the Money in the Bank ladder match, three briefcase holders cashed in to win gold on the same night, Alexa Bliss in 2018, Bayley in 2019 and Liv Morgan in 2022.
Undisputed WWE Championship
The Undisputed WWE Title picture has been exciting this year, with the championship changing hands five times in 2026 so far.
With the likes of Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano, and many other stars chasing Sami Zayn, and the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, there is a chance that the two-time WWE Champion’s reign could come to an end before the conclusion of next week.
While many are expecting Zayn to be Undisputed WWE Champion heading into Crown Jewel on November 7, Sami Zayn has a huge target on his back.
Women’s World Championship
After defeating Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at the non-televised live event in Chile on September 12, Stephanie Vaquer is preparing to defend the gold at Money in the Bank.
As announced on September 28, Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch will face off in a #1 contender’s match on the October 5 Raw episode, to determine Vaquer’s challenger for the October 10 premium live event.
With Morgan, Lynch, or maybe even both of them to challenge for Vaquer’s title, the Women’s World Champion will also be looking over her shoulder for the Money in the Bank winner, who could become the fourth woman to cash in after holding the briefcase for less than a day.
World Heavyweight Championship
Following recent confrontations, Roman Reigns will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank.
While there has been a lot of discourse in recent weeks about whether LA Knight will ever hold a world title in WWE, the popular star won’t be the only name targeting the OTC on October 10.
As of writing, Raw stars Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans and Penta have been confirmed for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
These stars, along with SmackDown competitors CM Punk and Trick Williams, and whoever takes the final spot in the match, all pose a threat to the Tribal Chief’s World Heavyweight Title reign.
