WWE is set to amend a broadcasting error it experienced last week later on tonight, with previously announced matches set to air.
Last week’s episode of WWE Main Event streamed live on YouTube on Thursday, August 20, with three matches announced for the show, those being Giulia vs. Michin, Akira Tozawa vs. Jasper Troy and Maxxine Dupri vs. Wendy Choo.
However, despite all three matches being advertised in the title of the episode, only the match between Giulia and Michin would end up airing on last week’s show.
While WWE did tape more matches for WWE Main Event at last week’s SmackDown taping, it seems as though the two matches that did not air on last week’s show will air on tonight’s episode.
The preview for tonight’s WWE Main Event show is up on YouTube, with the aforementioned Tozawa vs. Troy and Choo vs. Dupri matches being the two matches advertised for the show.
WWE is taping next week’s episodes of Raw and SmackDown tomorrow night in Cleveland, which could see them tape another match for Main Event to air on next week’s show.
As it stands, next week’s show will seemingly feature the Fraxiom vs. War Raiders and Kit Wilson vs. Matt Cardona matches that were taped at last week’s SmackDown show.
WWE also taped a match between Kyoki and Kit Wilson prior to this week’s Raw tapings, though it seems that was simply a dark match and not a match that will air on Main Event.
