Top 3 Finishers:
- Gretchen Walsh (NYAC) – 53.04
- Regan Smith (TXLA) – 55.15
- Simone Manuel (TXLA) – 58.33
World record holder Gretchen Walsh led the women’s 100m fly from the start, opening in 24.58, a world-leading time for the 50 fly on its own and the only opening split under 26. She closed in 28.46 to win in a world-leading 53.04, with the rest of the field over two seconds back. Texas-based pros Regan Smith (55.15) and Simone Manuel (58.33) rounded out the top three, both in new personal bests.

Top 3 Finishers:
- Tyler Ray (TXLA) – 49.56
- Caeleb Dressel (SJAC) – 49.86
- Dare Rose (SCAR) – 50.84
In a bit of an upset, Texas pro Tyler Ray, in what appears to be his first-ever SCM 100 fly, led from start to finish and won in 49.56. Olympic legend and American Record holder Caeleb Dressel (49.86) posted the only other sub-50 swim of the session.
Ray split 23.18/26.38 en route to the victory, while Dressel went 23.49/26.37.
Scarlet Aquatics’ Dare Rose rounded out the top three in 50.84. He has been as fast as 49.14 in the event, set at the 2024 SC World Championships.
It was the first time any of the three had contested this race in a SCM pool this season.
