Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
The #6 ranked diver from the class of 2027, Lorealle Lobedecis, has verbally committed to Northwestern for the class of 2027.
I am so blessed to announce my verbal commitment to Northwestern University!!! I would like to thank Coach Kris, my parents, friends, and most of all God for helping me through my diving journey. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and I cannot wait to be apart of the Northwestern Family.
GO WILDCATS 💜🐱
Lobedecis currently attends Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California where she dives with the Trojan Five Club.
At the 2026 CIF South Section Championships, she scored 465.65 points over 11 dives to finish 5th overall. At the Diving Junior World Trials also in May, she finished 10th on the 1-meter.
Her older sister Elonia Lobedecis is currently a sophomore diver at Michigan, though she did not compete at Big Ten team last season. The two sisters will be Big Ten competitors for a few years.
The Northwestern women finished 9th at the 2026 Big Ten Championships, scoring 446 points to finish about 12.5 points ahead of Nebraska’s 433.5 in 10th place.
The Wildcats only scored 7 diving points at the 2026 Big Ten Championships courtesy of sophomore diver Isabella Chen finishing 19th on the 3-meter and 24th on the platform event. Chen will have two years of eligibility remaining when Lobedecis arrives on campus.
She will join Lucy Velte, Annabeth Town, Erin Griffis, Vanya Gojakovic, and Bella Parker in the recruiting class of 2027.
