Absent from television since June of this year, it looked like WWE had plans for Jordynne Grace, although nothing has yet emerged.

Jordynne Grace was one of a number of TNA Wrestling stars to have appeared on WWE programming before signing her contract in January of last year.

A surprise entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match in January 2024, she would go on to further appearances in NXT, before being signed, continuing that trend through last year and being called up the main roster in January 2026.

Last appearing on SmackDown in April, losing to Tiffany Stratton in a WWE Women’s United States Championship Number One Contenders match, Grace has gone on to feature on Main Event, with her last match, at the time of writing, being in June.

Details of plans for Grace have emerged, but her current absence may be seen as a mystery in itself:

Where is Jordynne Grace?

Last month, False Finish noted that there “have been creative discussions regarding a potential team of Ivy Nile and Jordynne Grace”.

More recently, reports have emerged that Grace isn’t featured in WWE creative plans, with Nile featuring on Main Event and, most recently, in the NXT Women’s Championship Number One Contendership Battle Royal on October 6.

Creative discussions?

In September of this year, WWE filed a trademark application for the term “Iron Built” with the USPTO.

This led to speculation that the term could be used for Ivy Nile and Jordynne Grace, something that was recently reflected upon by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling’s The Hump, who confirmed that vignettes had been filmed and plans were afoot, saying:

“There were creative vignettes filmed with her and Ivy Nile this summer.

“There was a tentative plan to bring her and Ivy back to the TV late September via some vignettes that were filmed.”

“They were gonna be like the Iron Built tag team.”

Still under contract, just not used

Both Grace and Nile are still under contract, with Sapp going on to note that the latter had seemingly re-signed recently:

“Jordynne hasn’t been on TV. Ivy has only been on NXT recently, but Ivy’s deal was said to expire at the start of October. She’s still on the WWE roster. I have not heard that she’s gone from the company. She’s was on NXT since then. I can assume she’s been re-signed.

“However, I have not heard anything else about them coming back to TV.

“Jordynne Grace’s contract lasts until 2029.”

A championship dry spell in WWE

Coming off the back of being a three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, Impact Digital Media Champion and Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champion, it would seem likely that a powerhouse star the caliber of Jordynne Grace would be a shoo-in for a title run in WWE.

Signed in 2025, she has competed for championships on NXT and the main roster, but is yet to claim a title.

Ivy Nile is in a similar situation, having not had a championship win in WWE since first signing in 2020.

Bringing them together on a basis of frustrated and overlooked stars could serve them well when it comes to their presentation, as could following a similar path that Nattie has experienced since dropping the Natalya persona.
