Teenager Mika Stojsavljevic is about to compete in the biggest tournament of her career thus far.
The British youngster, a former junior US Open champion, is set to play in the Pan Pacific Open for the first time in her career.
Stojsavljevic has been handed a blockbuster contest against Filipino star Alexandra Eala in the first round.
Ahead of Eala’s contest against Stojsavljevic, let’s take a look back and see how the Filipina has fared against British opponents in the past.
Alex Eala’s record vs British opponents
Eala has played many of Great Britain’s most high-profile players in the past; most notably, Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal.
Will Alex Eala win a Grand Slam in 2027?
If so, which one does she take?
Eala defeated Boulter – the former world number 23 – at the 2025 Hong Kong Open. Eala led the Briton 6-4, 2-1 when her opponent was forced to retire through injury.
Three years ago, Eala played Sonay Kartal at the 2023 Empire Women’s Indoor 2, a former ITF event in the W60 category.
Kartal emerged victorious in their only previous meeting, triumphing 6-2, 6-2 in the second round.
Going back a further three years, Eala competed against now world number 99 Francesca Jones in the W25 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Eala secured a 6-3, 7-6 victory in the first round.
The Filipina also has a 2-0 record against Katy Dunne, securing victories at the 2023 W25 Yecla and the 2023 W25 Aldershot.
Eala has never played Emma Raducanu or Heather Watson.
| Player | Alex Eala’s record |
| Katie Boulter | 1-0 |
| Francesca Jones | 1-0 |
| Sonay Kartal | 0-1 |
| Katy Dunne | 2-0 |
