After an injury hit 2026 campaign, Carlos Alcaraz is already making preparations for next year.
The Spaniard missed a host of events throughout the summer months after suffering a troublesome wrist injury at the Barcelona Open in April.
One of those events was the Queen’s Club Championships – an ATP 500 event previously won by the likes of Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Tommy Paul.
On Thursday, Alcaraz’s participation in the 2027 event was confirmed by a tournament spokesperson.
Following the announcement, let’s take a look back at Alcaraz’s past results at the West Kensington event.
Carlos Alcaraz’s Queen’s Club record
Alcaraz made his Queen’s Club debut in 2023.
The Spaniard, then 20 years old, dropped just one set en route to the title, defeating Arthur Rinderknech, Jiri Lehecka, Grigor Dimitrov, Sebastian Korda and Alex de Minaur.
Where does Carlos Alcaraz’s forehand rank among the greatest of all time? 🎾
Alcaraz reclaimed the world number one ranking after defeating De Minaur.
“It means a lot to me. Being able to win this amazing tournament in my first time that I played here for me is fantastic,” Alcaraz said in his post-match remarks. “To know that I’m [capable of] a good level on grass, obviously [to be] champion of every tournament feels special.”
A year later, Alcaraz suffered a shock defeat in the Queen’s Club second round.
After defeating Francisco Cerundolo, Alcaraz was stunned by home favourite Jack Draper, losing 6-7, 3-6.
“Of course it’s tough to deal with the losses, but I think it’s part of our lives,” Alcaraz noted afterwards.
Alcaraz returned with a vengeance in 2025, facing little resistance en route to his second title in four years.
The young star defeated Adam Walton, Jaume Munar, Arthur Rinderknech and Roberto Bautista Agut to set up a final with Jiri Lehecka.
Lehecka fought valiantly in said contest, but was ultimately beaten 5-7, 7-6, 2-6 inside the Andy Murray Arena.
