WWE
With the final WWE Money in the Bank qualifier now over with, we know the full field of six stars who will be entering this year’s men’s ladder match.
The field is split down the middle with youth and experience, and it feels as if the match could go a number of different ways.
Here is our ranking of every potential men’s Money in the Bank match winner ranked from least to most likely to win.
Je’Von Evans
Je’von Evans was born on April 29, 2004
As he outlined on SmackDown, Je’Von Evans will be looking to make history next Saturday by becoming the youngest ever Money in the Bank match winner, and potentially, following on from that, the youngest world champion WWE has ever seen.
At 22 years old, “The Young OG” has his entire career ahead of him. While the clock will be ticking a bit for him to break Randy Orton’s youngest world champion record of 24, Evans still has time on his side and WWE likely won’t be rushing to give him that level of push just yet.
Trick Williams
Trick Williams has become a two-time United States Champion since his main roster call up.
On paper, Trick Williams should rank as a favorite for Money in the Bank as he has every single thing WWE looks for in a top star. His main event push will most certainly come, but it feels as if 2026 may be a year too soon to pull the trigger.
“Trick Willy” is also still the United States Champion; not something that completely rules him out of winning the Money in the Bank but it is certainly a strike against his chances of moving up to the WWE Championship just yet.
CM Punk
CM Punk lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn on the September 11 episode of SmackDown.
Although CM Punk is absolutely the biggest star in the Money in the Bank ladder match, him taking home a record third briefcase would almost certainly be the most unpopular choice WWE could make among fans.
That’s because, unlike others in the match, Punk really doesn’t need it. He only just lost the Undisputed WWE Title less than a month ago, and was World Heavyweight Champion for 169 days only months before that. However, despite Punk not needing the win, he can’t entirely be ruled out either given his winning record and star power.
Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens returned after a 17 month injury layoff at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
While Kevin Owens is another name who arguably doesn’t need the briefcase given his veteran status in the company, unlike Punk, he has had very little joy in world title matches in WWE.
It has been 10 years since “The Prizefighter” could call himself world champion, and he came agonizingly close to ending that streak against CM Punk in Toronto on August 21 and against Sami Zayn on September 18. Perhaps the Money in the Bank briefcase is Owens’ ticket to finally breaking that duck and winning a second world title – something that would be extra sweet if he cashes in on his former best friend.
Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker is a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion
At the beginning of 2026 it would have felt like a safe bet backing Bron Breakker to win his first world title, however, things haven’t quite worked out that way for the second-generation star. An injury setback derailed his momentum and ruled him out for WrestleMania 42 – an event that also saw Oba Femi solidify his spot as the next to men’s star in WWE when he defeated Brock Lesnar.
Breakker has made up some of the ground he’s lost over the past few months, however, he is also very much still in Oba Femi’s shadow. That doesn’t mean that Breakker shouldn’t be considered a Money in the Bank favorite though, he still has all the tools to be a main event presence, it’s just harder to see him get there until he irons out his issues with “The Ruler.”
Penta
Penta lost his first world title match in WWE on September 14 when he challenged Roman Reigns.
It has been reported that Penta is the “heavy favorite” within WWE to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase on October 10, and it’s not hard to see why.
Penta proved he is a main event player with his close-fought World Heavyweight Title match with Roman Reigns in Mexico City on September 14, and the reaction to him in that match likely solidified WWE’s plans to push him as a world title contender going forward. With all the momentum he has right now, WWE absolutely should capitalize and give Penta the biggest win of his career in New Orleans.
