The November 4 AEW Dynamite presented the sixth annual Blood And Guts special from Jacksonville, Florida.
This was the second year in a row with two iterations of the two-ring steel cage match on this night.
With the overall brutality, it felt like the Women’s edition overdelivered compared to their Men’s counterpart.
Here are four potential reasons why the Women’s Blood And Guts outperformed the Men’s match on the November 4 AEW Dynamite.
Going first helps
In 2025, the first-ever Women’s Blood And Guts Match took place with the ladies in AEW showing out in front of a raucous crowd.
Now that there are two versions of this stipulation on one night, it is easy for fans to choose one over the other.
For the second year in a row, the Women’s Blood And Guts took place before the Men’s version.
This seems to prove that it helps going first and setting a standard at AEW Blood And Guts 2026.
More violent and chaotic feel

With this being the sixth annual AEW Blood And Guts, it is pretty difficult to live up to the past versions of this stipulation.
The Women’s Blood And Guts this year absolutely thrived on an extreme level of violence on par or even more than the first iteration.
The chaotic feel of this bout created a complete spectacle that the Men’s Blood And Guts just couldn’t match.
Considering everything that took place, the chaos added a ton to the Women’s match in a major way.
More blood
The number one thing that the Women’s Blood And Guts had over its men’s counterpart had to be that key word: blood.
It started early with Megan Bayne coming out as the first entrant, giving fans an amazing bloody visual.
Then, Skye Blue busted Kris Statlander open with a lighttube, Blue started bleeding before entering the cage and Lena Kross took a guitar to the skull to get split open herself.
With 12 women, it seemed like almost everyone was busted open and brought blood in spades to this one.
Megan Bayne

There is a strong argument that Megan Bayne was the star and MVP of AEW Blood And Guts 2026.
“The Megasus” had an all-time crimson masks that seemingly got worse as the match progressed.
With the blood pouring, Bayne kept fighting and showing what she was made of.
Despite 12 women being involved, Bayne had to be the standout performer from their match and the Men’s bout.
