Over the past few months, there have been several members of WWE ID program who were released from their contracts.
This could lead to these independent talents getting a look from All Elite Wrestling on their television or on ROH.
Following the likes of Zayda Steel and others, these WWE ID names could make an impact that leads to signing with AEW and ROH in the near future with an appearance on their programming.
Here are four former WWE ID stars to potentially appear on AEW and ROH.
Laynie Luck
In late 2025, Laynie Luck became the latest addition to the WWE ID program after winning the WWE ID Women’s Championship.
For 320 days, Luck went to several different promotions to raise the prestige of the WWE ID Women’s Championship.
Luck has the experience to work for any promotion around the world, including AEW or ROH.
With the experience on WWE ID and Evolve, it looks like Luck will get a chance to garner the spotlight in Ring of Honor in the coming weeks.
Marcus Mathers
Another standout from the WWE ID program from the beginning has been Marcus Mathers.
At 23 years old, Mathers has been a prominently featured star in promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, JCW and Wrestling Revolver.
Mathers has been a consistent highlight of WWE ID and Evolve alike over the past year.
Now that his WWE ID contract has expired, Mathers is set to make his debut for Ring of Honor and could also get a chance on AEW TV if given the opportunity.
Jimmy House (CJ Valor)
One of the more recent WWE ID signings that has been highlighted on Evolve is CJ Valor.
It was recently revealed that his ID deal had also expired, leading to House once again becoming Jimmy House.
House is a graduate of the Rhodes Wrestling Association, training with current AEW star Dustin Rhodes.
After receiving a stamp of approval from the former TNT Champion, House could be next in line to get his opportunity on AEW and ROH in the near future.
Cappuccino Jones
When looking at former WWE ID talent, Cappuccino Jones is someone who instantly stands out.
In 2024, Jones was one of the first independent names who signed with WWE ID when the program started.
Then, the following year saw Jones become the inaugural WWE ID Men’s Champion.
Now that his contract has expired, it would make sense for Cappuccino Jones to get a shot on AEW and ROH where he could truly shine.
